Mr. Nicusor Nacu, PhD, is Department Manager of Energy Efficiency Program at OMV Petrom.

Previously, Dr. Nacu was an independent power generation consultant until the end of 2008. Prior, he was an expert engineer at Alstom Power Switzerland. Dr. Nacu has gained a valuable knowledge on power generation while working and studying in Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, France, and Romania.

At Alstom Switzerland, he held positions including performance calculation engineer within the Combined Cycle Department, thermodynamics development engineer within Steam Turbine Research & Development Business, and monitoring & diagnostic engineer within Customer Service.

Dr. Nacu has over 30 years of experience in designing, studying, improving, constructing, monitoring & diagnosing power plants and their components. He provided lectures on Engineering Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Fluid Mechanics at Trinity College Dublin and University of Sibiu.
