Mr. Bogdan Nicolae Badea has been in the position of Chairman of Hidroelectrica’s Management Board since July 2017. He previously managed the project management activity within the company as a department manager (2016-2017). He acquired the relevant business experience, particularly in the energy field, having had positions such as member in the Suvervisory Board of OMV Petrom (2015-2016), member in the Administration Board of Rompetrol Rafinare (2015), General Manager of BNB Renewable Consulting (2009-2013, 2014), Strategy-Development Director of Electrica Bucuresti (2007-2009), Chairman of Electrica Bio-Heat’s Administration Board (2008-2009), member of Enel Energie Muntenia and Enel Energie S.A.’s Administration Board (2007-2009).

He has also obtained the overview upon the economy in general, and upon the national energy system in particular, as he has had positions of high public dignity such as State Energy Secretary (2014-2015) within the Ministry of Energy, Small and Medium Enterprises, or as State Secretary within the Ministry of Economy (2013-2014).

Mr. Bogdan Badea is an engineer. A master degree in defence diplomacy with the subject ‘Globalization, European Integration and Energy Security of Romania’, at Lucian Blaga University from Sibiu City, was added in 2009 to his professional training.
