Sorin Boza is the President of the Directorate and General Executive Manager of the Complexul Energetic Oltenia.

He graduated from Petroleum-Gas University with a master degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in 1995. Thereafter he completed management courses at universities in Paris, Virginia (USA), and Shanghai.

Between 2005 and 2016, Mr. Sorin Boza held successive leading positions within the Lafarge Group (in Romania and the Republic of Moldova) and within the Imerys France Group.

Starting December 2016, he is the President of the Directorate of the Complexul Energetic Oltenia – Romania.

Mr. Sorin Boza has been awarded numerous distinctions including: ‘THINK BIG’ special distinction from Business Magazine and Forbes Magazine; ‘MANAGER OF THE YEAR’ from Lafarge Group (in 2010); ‘PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT of Complexul Energetic Oltenia’ within the Gala of the European Decade of the Romanian Centenary, in 2017; ‘EXCELLENCE PRIZE’ granted to the company’s management for the contribution to the safe operation of the National Power System, in 2018; ‘Manager of the Year in the Energy Field’ within the Romanian Energy Awards Gala 2018.

He was nominated as one of the 100 best managers in Romania for the impressive industrial accomplishment in 2010 and 2012.

Mr. Sorin Boza is a member of CO₂ reduction working group in Romania.
